Corporate Social Responsibility - CSR

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is defined as companies’ active and voluntary contribution to social, economic and environmental development, generally with the aim to improve their competitiveness and added value. It encompasses risk management and a long term vision. A responsible management of a company implies control over the company’s impact in the environment and interest groups in the decision making process.

A consequence of the recent world economic crisis, transparency and work ethic has acquired a new dimension in the public opinion and even in its regulation. Corporate Social Responsibility not always requires new actions by the companies but a change in the management of its main activity, including certain criteria and controlling the human resources.
