Teatro Real - October 24, 2008

The Gala Dinner of the Annual UHY Congress will be celebrated at the Royal Theatre of Madrid, one of the most important Opera Houses in Spain frequently visited by the Royal Family.

Located in the Plaza de Oriente, just in front of the Royal Palace, it was built in 1850 and it is one of the most emblematic buildings in the city.

The restaurant is in the former ballroom. The decoration recreates opera settings and there are exhibits of musical instruments and costumes used in historical opera productions such as "Aida" or "Ann Boleyn". However, the most distinctive characteristic is the ceiling made of 630 fiber dots that reproduces the sky over Madrid as a tribute to the former open-air comedy "corrala" (courtyard) theatres.

The restaurant offers a magnificient and careful selection of dishes in which mediterranean cuisine predominates.
