{"id":15163,"date":"2024-01-12T10:15:33","date_gmt":"2024-01-12T09:15:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uhy-fay.com\/?p=15163"},"modified":"2024-01-12T13:13:31","modified_gmt":"2024-01-12T12:13:31","slug":"pay-tax-large-fortune-non-resident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.uhy-fay.com\/en\/blog\/pay-tax-large-fortune-non-resident\/","title":{"rendered":"Did you pay Tax on Large Fortune as Non Resident in 2022?"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>Retroactive elimination of discrimination against non-residents in the Tax on Large Fortunes<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>One of the most controversial aspects of the <strong>Solidarity Tax on Large Fortunes (STLF)<\/strong> was the fact that non-tax resident taxpayers were not allowed to benefit from the reduction of the tax base of 700,000 euros, which was for them a discrimination compared to tax residents.<\/p>\n<p>The Parliament gave yesterday its approval to part of the package of measures announced by the Government at the end of last year, including the elimination of this discrimination with effects from the entry into force of this tax and its extension until the regional framework of wealth taxation is reformed.<br \/>\nThe first year of application of the ITSGF was 2022, so this modification will allow non-tax resident taxpayers to request the rectification of the returns filed for that year in order to claim the aforementioned reduction, requesting the corresponding refund.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uhy-fay.com\/en\/\"><strong>UHY Fay &amp;
