San Telmo Busines School has participated in the development of the program of the meeting with professors of international prestige

UHY International has held the 20th edition of the UHY Forum in Malaga from September 21 to 24, a program aimed at the future leaders of UHY, the leading international consulting and auditing network. The meeting is focused on the participants developing their leadership and negotiation skills as a basis to achieve objectives through good management of their teams.

“UHY has always opted for this type of program because it is essential for the development of our professionals, as well as for the creation of international multidisciplinary teams involved in transnational transactions”, explains the Managing Partner of UHY Fay & Co, Bernard Fay, who has worked on the four continents with UHY International. “We can proudly say that the goal set since its inception in 2002 has been achieved,” Fay underlines.

UHY Fay & CO —Spanish member of UHY— has been betting on closeness, clarity and courage for 40 years, which has led it to position itself among the top 20 professional services firms nationally and internationally, according to the Expansion ranking.

With 20 years of history, the UHY Forum has become an event of great importance for the development of future leaders of UHY International. “More than 500 participants from UHY member firms around the world have acquired soft skills, which we prefer to call power skills,” says Fay, who describes the annual meeting as “an unparalleled success.” Likewise, the Managing Partner highlights the “enthusiasm of the participants in each edition” and the quality of the training provided by San Telmo Business School.

UHY Fay & Co has been in charge of organizing the UHY Forum at the Hotel Fuerte de Grazalema (Cádiz) and has relied on San Telmo Business School for training, a center of excellence for training and development of managerial skills. The case method has been the main teaching tool used and has been developed by professors of international prestige.

For the professor at San Telmo Business School, who is also director of this program, José Miguel Amuedo, “creating an international network of Professional Consulting Services Companies is not easy.” “To the commitment of the partners, we must add the establishment of a network of international contacts among those future leaders called to guide the destiny of UHY. This is precisely one of the main objectives of the UHY Forum”, Amuedo emphasizes, recalling that “many of the current directors of UHY have been part of previous editions with full satisfaction”.

The UHY Forum has brought together in this edition 40 representatives from 17 countries that include Canada, Spain, the United States, Malaysia, New Zealand, Poland and the United Kingdom. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas and experiences with people from all over the world,” says Thomas Whalen, Managing Partner of the firm in Germany. “The event is a great opportunity for young talents and fosters a flow of creativity and new ideas for the growth of UHY”, he concludes.

At a national level, UHY Fay & Co has 150 professionals spread over offices located in Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga, Marbella, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Santander and Santiago de Compostela.

For its part, UHY, the international network of consulting and auditing firms brings together more than 300 offices, located in more than 100 countries, and more than 8,000 professionals.
